Drive smarter commercial decisions by turning complex data into clear insights, improving forecast accuracy, and ensuring investments and strategies deliver measurable revenue and profitability growth.

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES  

Mahi tahi (collaboration) is at the core of what we do as a group, so we work collectively as a team on tasks that come to the group. From time to time, you may also be asked to support other mahi (not listed below) to help the team and business deliver on our priorities. 

  • Support the development and maintenance of commercial models (e.g., revenue, inventory, costs, and profitability), ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with scenario analysis and preparation of business cases by gathering data, validating assumptions, and contributing to insights.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to provide data support for growth initiatives such as new channel launches, regional expansion, and performance optimisation.
  • Produce regular performance reports across key revenue streams (e.g., ratings, ad sales, affiliate revenue), using Excel and Power BI to deliver clear and timely insights.
  • Support planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and the monthly content investment cycle through data preparation, tracking, and reporting (including documenting assumptions and reconciling inputs to source data).
  • Maintain and improve dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and user-friendly insights.

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Strong foundational data skills: Comfortable using Excel (e.g., formulas, pivots, data manipulation, basic modelling, working with datasets) and familiarity with Power BI to build and maintain reports or dashboards.
  • Analytical mindset: Able to work with data to identify trends, spot anomalies, and support insights, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Basic commercial awareness: Understanding of key business concepts such as revenue, costs, and profitability, with an interest in how these apply in a commercial environment.
  • Problem-solving approach: Demonstrates curiosity and a willingness to learn how to structure problems, test assumptions, and support analysis.
  • Communication skills: Able to clearly present data and insights in a simple and structured way, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail: Takes care to ensure data accuracy and consistency, with a proactive approach to checking and validating work.
