TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE: 

As the Territory Manager you will be field-based and responsible for fostering the growth of Sky’s Commercial revenue base within your dedicated territory (central north island). Applicant must be based in the central north island for example Tauranga, Rotorua, Hamilton. You will also work closely with various departments and teams across Sky.  

You’ll need to have the ability to build effective short- and long-term relationships and be competent at understandings customer’s business needs. 

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Identify and convert new sales opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and on-the-ground territory management
  • Own and grow a portfolio of commercial customers (bars, hotels, motels, and venues), driving new business and maximising revenue opportunities
  • Attending and representing Sky at Hospitality, Industry, Trade and Conference shows  
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, and support) to ensure seamless installations, high customer satisfaction, and ongoing account growth
  • Demonstrating and embodying the mindset, beliefs and values of a Sky leader 
  • Maintaining effective and accurate journey plans and daily reporting as per company guidelines  
  • Ensuring compliance (unauthorised ‘pirating’ of the Sky service) from all commercial venues within your territory 

 

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

You are a commercially driven relationship builder who owns their patch end‑to‑end, growing revenue through strong customer partnerships, local market insight, and confident promotion of Sky’s content and solutions to consistently exceed targets.

Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ successful sales / account management experience  
  • Preferably experience of working within the Hospitality and Accommodation industry  
  • Proven history of building long term relationships  
  • Experience working in a Business-to-Business environment  
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate contracts  
  • Competent at public speaking and presenting information  
  • Results orientated 

Preferred:

  • Relevant university marketing or business degree (advantageous but not necessary)  
  • A passion about Sky and where we are going  
  • A positive, solution-oriented approach to challenges and achieving outcomes  
  • A natural ability to work collaboratively with peers at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally  
  • Your inquisitive mind, pushing the boundaries with creativity based on consumer insights  
  • Confidence in working through change and uncertainty  
  • An openness and enthusiasm for learning from those around you  
  • A willingness to challenge yourself and the rest of us to listen and learn from our customers and partners  
  • A strong sense of personal accountability  
  • An appreciation for our people, the work we do, the lessons we learn, and our drive for excellence
