TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE: 

 

We are seeking a talented Trading Analyst to join our team in an exciting new opportunity. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights—monitoring performance, developing strategic recommendations, and enabling the Trading & Pricing and Ad Sales teams to make informed, data-driven decisions that support commercial success. 

You will work closely with stakeholders to analyse trends, identify revenue opportunities, and deliver clear, insight-led reporting that drives business performance, while contributing to the continuous improvement of trading and pricing strategies. 

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

  • Analyse data and deliver regular reporting across all Sky assets, including inventory, yield, revenue, pricing, audience and competitor performance.
  • Provide insights into and updates to the Trading & Pricing Lead and leadership team.
  • Create, maintain and improve regular trading reports.
  • Support pricing and commercial negotiations across Trading & Pricing and Ad‑Sales.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the wider business on reporting and ad‑hoc analysis.
  • Track and review competitive in‑market activity.
  • Manage and maintain the Trading resources and reporting
  • Support planning and project work focused on yield, revenue and optimisation.

With proven experience,  you bring a curious, results-driven mindset and a proactive approach to your work. You demonstrate strong attention to detail and advanced analytical capability and accuracy, alongside excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate insights to a range of stakeholders.

Together with this you will bring;

  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to translate data into insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Media industry experienced is preferential but not essential. Ideally in both digital and broadcast media
