TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:
We’re seeking six Media Operators to join us on a four month fixed term contract, supporting a critical, time‑sensitive project across Sky. These roles are perfect for people with a baseline understanding of media and strong technical aptitude—whether that comes from media studies, post‑production, arts or film degrees, or other relevant experience.
You’ll play a key role in preparing, processing, and publishing content to the highest quality standards across Sky platforms.
These roles require an immediate start, and we will be interviewing this week and next.
Full training will be provided.
These project roles operate on a rotating shift pattern:
- Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Afternoon/Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
You must be available to work across both shifts.
NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate media systems and applications to prepare, process, and publish content.
- Evaluate programme material to ensure it meets broadcast and technical standards.
- Process content for our on-air channels and our streaming platforms
NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO | WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’ll bring a keen interest in media, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re adaptable, detail-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Essential
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for shift work (including evenings).
- Confident with computers, file management, and MS Office.
Preferred
- A baseline understanding of media, production, or content workflows.
- Experience or training in media studies, post-production, film/TV, arts, or similar fields.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to multitask.
- Interest in entertainment content.
