TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE: 

As a Product Specialist on a 6-month Fixed Term contract, you will be responsible for inputting into developing and communicating our website product roadmap, defining product requirements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and ongoing success of our products and services. You will be the voice of the customer and will work closely with our CX, engineering, design, marketing, operations and sales teams to create and deliver high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and drive business growth.

NGĀ HAEPAPA | ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Managing and developing products or services through their full life cycle from inception, growth, maturity, decline to retirement.
  • Delivering agreed outcomes from projects using appropriate management techniques, collaboration, leadership and governance
  • Managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle.
  • Influencing stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.

You will bring the perfect blend of customer insight, product know‑how, and delivery energy to help shape experiences our viewers love. They act as the bridge between technology, content, and the customer—translating needs into smart product enhancements, championing the user journey, and ensuring every feature delivers real value. With a sharp eye for continuous improvement, they help Sky stay ahead of market trends, drive innovation across our digital platforms, and support teams with the knowledge and clarity needed to launch and optimise world‑class experiences. In short, they help turn great ideas into products Kiwis can’t live without.

ESSENTIAL

  • Advanced Microsoft Office in Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Exposure to product management, product roadmaps, and product specifications principals
  • Analytical skills and experience with market research and competitive analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
