TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and proactive Business Executive to join our Ad Sales team on a 12-month parental leave contract starting mid-July. Working closely with a Business Director, you’ll play a key role in managing advertising agency relationships and supporting the delivery of revenue through smart, solutions-focused account management. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a tight-knit, high-performing team in a fast-paced media environment, representing one of Aotearoa’s most iconic brands.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Represent Sky to media buyers, actively selling advertising opportunities to maximize revenue within an assigned client portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, clients, and internal teams to support long-term success.
- Keep management informed of market trends and client updates; and stay knowledgeable on Sky as an advertising opportunity and Sky’s current and desired position in the market
- Work closely with the Business Director and Account Coordinators to manage client activities, including sponsorship opportunities, ratings guarantees, and other client benefits.
- Assist with briefing and booking tasks as needed, while maintaining excellent relationships with advertising support teams to ensure seamless client service.

You’ll be a natural communicator with a passion for media and a solutions-driven mindset. You’ll thrive in a team environment and bring energy, attention to detail and a love of all things Sky. A proactive attitude is key — you’ll be someone who takes initiative, spots opportunities, and isn’t afraid to jump in where needed.
Essential:
- 3–4 years’ experience in media sales or a related field
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
- Strong communication skills across written, phone, and face-to-face interactions
- Detail-oriented and diligent, with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid computer literacy across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Knowledge of the local media landscape and advertising agency environment
- Familiarity with media booking systems and campaign reporting tools
- A passion for Sky and its evolving place in Aotearoa’s media world
- A collaborative, can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A sense of humour and enjoyment in working with a fun, close-knit team
