TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:
As an FP&A Analyst at Sky, you’ll play a key role in financial planning, reporting and analysis all in support of key decision-making. You’ll provide essential financial insights, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and consolidation of reporting that brings to life the financial story via insightful commentary. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations will be critical to your success.
This role requires not only your technical expertise but also strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work closely with the Finance team and stakeholders across the business to improve financial visibility to support Sky’s long-term growth strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Assist with preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with Sky’s objectives. Perform detailed variance analysis and collaborate with business units to align financial forecasts with operational plans.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, offering key insights and recommendations. Analyse financial performance, identify improvement areas, and develop management reporting tools to support decision-making.
- Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business leaders, providing financial insights and translating complex data into clear recommendations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial goals and business strategy.
- Process Improvement & Systems Optimisation: Identify opportunities to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Support the implementation and enhancement of financial planning systems, leveraging automation tools to improve efficiency.
- Strategic & Commercial Insights: Provide data-driven insights to support strategic planning. Analyse market trends, competitor financials, and economic conditions to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal performance management and external announcements.
NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO I WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- CA qualified
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis
- Experience in FP&A and finance transformation
- Ideally familiarity with FP&A tools such as Anaplan or similar
