TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:
As the Content Programming Lead, you’ll lead the way in planning for and delivering new content opportunities for Sky. You’ll be accountable for the positioning of all entertainment content on Sky’s owned channels – Sky Go, Neon, Box and Pod, – enable the Content Leads to assess and select content, drive engagement with key stakeholders across the business, and align with Content Strategy & Insights to deliver future-proofed, customer-centric solutions to Sky’s content needs. This opportunity is a 12-month parental leave contract.
What you’ll do:
In this dynamic role, every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You’ll optimise and future-proof Sky’s content offering to increase viewership and engagement across Sky’s Entertainment products. Your leadership and enablement of Content Leads will align multiple Content, Partnerships and Product streams to deliver on the wider business strategy and goals. A data-oriented approach ensures that Sky delivers highly relevant content to its audiences while maximising the return on investment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Scoping, planning for and delivering new content opportunities across Sky’s channels and products, using commercially sound, customer-centric decision-making to achieve business goals.
- Accountable for the content presented on all of Sky's platforms, in support of Content Leads and in alignment with the wider Content team.
- Aligning Content and Partnerships to ensure the Content Acquisition Strategy supports long-term improvement of channel ratings and product engagement.
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across Content & Commercial and Customer to ensure alignment on all content priorities and positioning.
- Connecting with distributors and monitoring upcoming content opportunities to drive a competitive edge.

We’re looking for a proactive self-starter with a strong background in programme scheduling. Your ability to persuade, influence, and connect with people will be crucial to your success in this role.
Essential Experience:
- Comprehensive experience across content licensing, strategy, linear broadcast and VOD delivery
- Experience in developing strategy that aligns with operational requirements
- Proven ability to work collaboratively cross functionally to achieve outcomes
- Experience with data and insights to inform strategic decisions
- Ability to engage stakeholders on content initiatives
- Strong leadership skills
